Dyslexia info from sufferers please.?

I am currently looking into child care and am looking into all the different disabilities. I came across dyslexia and felt like a click happened. I was really bad at maths, time, motion sickness, didn't tie my shoes till i was 12 and don't even ask about spellings.(thank god for spell check!) But i can and love to read? am i just slow or could i be slightly dyslexic? I want to go to uni but am scared as i was alway the cl clown, would love to hear your stories. thanks in advanced. :)
