Thoughts on Evanston, Illinois and Northwestern University?

I'm deciding on which college to attend and so far I have narrowed my choices down to University of Arizona and Northwestern University. I live in Arizona and have been to the East coast multiple times. I understand the weather is so different and I have never seen snow. Can anyone help me to understand how life is at Northwestern and how much of a difference there is from the University of Arizona?
