Will men go extinct in the distant future?

Men won't go extinct, unless women take up self fertilization. There could be genetic changes along the way though (there still could be men, even if the Y chromosome completely atrophies). If anything like that did happen it would be because of artificial manipulation of reproduction by humankind. Who knows, women may go extinct because of artificial manipulation (men are already overpopulating in China because of over selection by Chinese with artificial selective abortions). They would just need to figure out how to grow a baby entirely in an artificial environment! Granted it is much easier to replace the man in the artificial manipulation scenario over the long run.
